Finance Admin

We're looking for a detail-obsessed Finance Admin to run day-to-day financial operations across two thriving dance studios — payroll, accounts receivable, tuition billing, and profitability reporting — with minimal oversight required.

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00am–4:00pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday: half-days (8/9:00am–12/1:00pm)
• 15 hours/week total, same 3 days every week

• A strong numbers person — comfortable with reconciliation, billing, and reporting
• Highly organized and detail-oriented — catches discrepancies before they're problems

Director of Development

Help us build the philanthropic engine behind Austin's newest performing arts center — from the ground up. No inherited donor list. No playbook. Just a blank canvas and a big mission.

What You'll Own

• Fundraising strategy — annual giving, major gifts, Founders Circle, naming opportunities
• Institutional giving & grants — building the pipeline and calendar from scratch
• Board development — recruiting, governance structure, giving participation
• Corporate partnerships & sponsorships
• Donor CRM implementation and relationship management
• Launch leadership through opening day (June 2026 onward)

PAC Manager

Run the day-to-day of a premier new performing arts venue — from event load-ins to vendor contracts to building the front-of-house team that makes every show feel seamless.

What You'll Own

• Daily facility operations — front-of-house, back-of-house, and technical areas
• Event and performance coordination, including load-ins/load-outs
• Rental agreements, contracts, and client relations
• Annual facility operations budget and vendor negotiations
• Recruiting, training, and supervising staff and volunteers
• Community and partner relationships across Austin's arts scene

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in arts administration, business, theater management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in performing arts facility management, event operations, or arts administration
• Knowledge of technical theater operations (lighting, sound, staging) preferred
• Budget management and contract negotiation experience

Director, Creative Arts Academy

APAX Creative Arts Academy is a new childcare and performing arts enrichment program affiliated with the Central Texas Dance Collaborative. Opening in January, APAX provides a nurturing, arts-integrated environment where children grow as movers, thinkers, and creators. Our model draws on child-centered philosophies — including Montessori-inspired approaches — to cultivate curiosity, self-expression, and a lifelong love of the arts.

Role Overview

The Director of APAX Creative Arts Academy serves as both the program director and the qualified childcare director of record as defined under Texas Health and Human Services childcare licensing regulations (Texas Administrative Code, Title 26, Chapter 746). This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program, supervision of staff, compliance with all applicable licensing requirements, and creating a high-quality educational and enrichment experience for enrolled children. The Director will work closely with the leadership team of the Central Texas Dance Collaborative during the pre-opening phase and will transition into a full-time role upon the program's January launch.

Employment Structure

• Pre-Opening Phase (Now – December 2026): Hourly consulting engagement. Work during this phase focuses on ramp-up activities including state licensing paperwork, policy and procedure development, enrollment marketing support, and participation in open house events.
• Full-Time (January 2027 forward): Full-time, on-site position contingent on sufficient enrollment. This role requires physical presence at the academy during all operating hours. The standard schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, including a 30-minute buffer before the first class and after the last class of the day. Saturdays are not part of this role.

Key Responsibilities — Licensing & Compliance

• Serve as the director of record for APAX's childcare operation in compliance with Texas HHS licensing standards for licensed childcare centers (TAC Title 26, Chapter 746)
• Maintain all required director qualifications and ensure ongoing compliance with minimum standards for health, safety, supervision ratios, and staff training
• Oversee the preparation, submission, and maintenance of all licensing documentation, background check records, and inspection-readiness materials

Key Responsibilities — Program Leadership

• Design and implement a child-centered, arts-integrated curriculum aligned with APAX's creative arts mission and inspired by Montessori and similar progressive educational frameworks
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop program staff in accordance with childcare center minimum standards
• Foster a warm, inclusive, developmentally appropriate environment that celebrates each child's growth and creativity
• Partner with dance and performing arts faculty within the Central Texas Dance Collaborative ecosystem

Key Responsibilities — Family & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with enrolled families through clear communication, regular updates, and an open-door culture
• Lead enrollment efforts including open houses, tours, and community outreach in partnership with organizational leadership
• Represent APAX's mission and values to prospective families, community partners, and licensing personnel

Qualifications — Required

• Meets Texas HHS minimum qualifications for childcare center director (TAC §746.1203): Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus required clock hours and experience as specified by regulation; OR an associate degree with additional qualifying experience
• Experience working with children in a structured care or educational setting
• Background in dance, movement, or performing arts — either as a performer, educator, or both
• Clear criminal history background check and compliance with all Texas HHS pre-employment requirements
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Qualifications — Preferred

• Montessori certification or demonstrated experience with Montessori or other child-centered educational philosophies
• Experience launching or opening a new childcare or educational program
• Familiarity with Texas HHS childcare licensing processes and minimum standards
• Passion for integrating creative arts into early childhood and school-age programming

Schedule & Compensation

• Pre-opening: Hourly rate commensurate with experience; flexible consulting schedule focused on launch preparation
• Full-time: Competitive salary commensurate with experience; Monday–Friday, ~40 hours/week; Saturdays not required
